| Opis rewersu | The facing winged Lion of St. Mark, rendered in high relief within a large ornate baroque cartouche or shield, its wings spread prominently and its body shown frontally in heraldic style. The shield is elaborately decorated with scrollwork and foliate ornamentation surmounting it. A horizontal line separates the main device from the exergue, within which the denomination numeral '140' appears flanked by decorative stops. The circular Latin legend SANCTVS · MARC · VENET surrounds the design, invoking the patron saint of Venice. |
