| Obverse description | Facing bust of Bishop Bartholomäus within a roughly circular field, surmounted by a prominent episcopal crown rendered in bold relief. The bishop's effigy is depicted in a frontal, stylized medieval manner with simplified facial features characteristic of Baltic hammered coinage of the mid-15th century. A partial abbreviated legend in uncial Latin script encircles the bust. The overall style reflects the crude but vigorous die-cutting typical of Livonian ecclesiastical issues of the period. |

| Obverse lettering | EPVS · BARTOLO (Translation: Episcopus Bartholomäus Bishop Bartholomäus) |
| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a crossed sword and key — the traditional heraldic emblems of the Bishopric of Dorpat — with a hand issuing from or connected to the lower end of the sword, all depicted in low relief on an irregular hammered flan. The sword and key are arranged diagonally in saltire fashion within the central field. A partial encircling legend in uncial Latin script appears around the periphery. The design is consistent with other Livonian episcopal schillings of the 15th century in both composition and iconographic program. |
