| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script contained within a linear circle, set against a plain hammered field. The inscription records the mint name Ahmadshahi with its honorific epithet 'Ashrafu-l-bilad' (Most Noble of the Cities), together with the Hijri date and the regnal year of Zaman Shah's reign. The legend reads 'Zarb 5 Ashrafu-l-bilad Ahmad Shahi,' indicating the regnal year numeral and the mint epithet. The flan is characteristically irregular in shape, as is typical of hand-struck Durrani rupees of this period. The engraving is bold but slightly uneven, reflecting the hand-hammered production technique. |
