The legend reads 'Zarb 5 Ashrafu-l-bilad Ahmad Shahi,' indicating the regnal year numeral and the mint epithet. The flan is characteristically irregular in shape, as is typical of hand-struck Durrani rupees of this period. The engraving is bold but slightly uneven, reflecting the hand-hammered production technique. |
