| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple lines of Arabic calligraphic legend in the characteristic Afghan rupee style, including the name and titles of Shah Shuja al-Mulk. The inscription is rendered in a bold, angular hand within a dotted border running along the coin's irregular periphery. The die-struck lettering fills the field entirely, consistent with the Durrani dynastic coinage tradition. |
