The upper register bears the mint name and the lower register contains the regnal year (sanah) of Shah Alam II's reign, followed by the phrase 'julus maimant manus' (the auspicious accession). Decorative pellet groups are interspersed throughout the field, consistent with Gwalior State hammered rupee production.
