| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing the imperial Mughal legend in bold Persian naskh script arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line. The upper register reads 'Shah Alam Badshah Ghazi' and the lower register carries the royal epithet, with decorative pellet ornaments scattered throughout the field. The calligraphy is characteristic of late Mughal epigraphic style, with elongated strokes and prominent diacritical dots. The design fills the flan to its irregular edges, as is typical of hammered coinage of this period. |
