| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a bold Persian legend in Nasta'liq script arranged across the field in two registers separated by a horizontal line. The upper register carries the royal epithet and title of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II, rendered in characteristic cursive calligraphy. The lower register displays a supplementary portion of the imperial titulature. Dotted ornamental devices are visible at the margins, consistent with Gwalior mint practice of the early nineteenth century. The striking is irregular at the edges, typical of hand-hammered coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Hammered reverse displaying a multi-line Persian Nasta'liq legend in the field, recording the mint name and the regnal year of Shah Alam II's reign in the formula standard to Mughal-derived coinage. The inscription is arranged in flowing diagonal bands across the flan, with dotted ornamental pellets interspersed near the rim. The text references the auspicious accession in the traditional phrase 'julus maimant manus'. The strike is bold at centre with characteristic weakness and irregular outline toward the periphery, consistent with hammered rupees of the Gwalior princely state. |
