Obverse description Central field dominated by the royal Persian-script legend of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal line, with the AH regnal date prominently displayed within the central cartouche. The inscription is rendered in a bold Nastaliq calligraphic style typical of late Mughal coinage. Floral or foliate motifs fill the peripheral band, framing the central inscription. The overall layout follows the standard Mughal rupee format with marginal legends running along the coin's rim.
