Obverse description Three horizontal lines of Nastaliq Arabic script fill the central field, citing the regnal name and titles of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The inscription is rendered in the characteristically fluid hammered style of late Mughal coinage, with the text arranged in parallel registers across the flan. A partial border or marginal line frames the legends on the periphery. The lettering is deeply struck and bold, consistent with the Hyderabad mint tradition of this period.
