A circular Qu'aiti countermark approximately 10 mm in diameter has been applied over the reverse legend, bearing the Arabic inscription 'Al-Dawla Munassar' (State's Defender) with the Hijri year 1307. The countermark is the authenticating device applied by the Qu'aiti Sultanate to authorise the host rupee for local circulation. |
