Obverse description Hammered silver rupee struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The obverse field displays the imperial Persian-script legend in two registers separated by a horizontal dividing line, reading 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Shah Alam Bahadur', identifying the nominal sovereign. The calligraphy is executed in a bold, slightly irregular hand typical of Maratha imitative coinage, with decorative pellet ornaments flanking the inscription in the upper field. The overall style closely follows Mughal prototype rupees of the late eighteenth century.

Reverse description The reverse bears the mint and regnal-year legend in Persian script, arranged in two registers across the field and separated by a horizontal line. The inscription reads 'Zarb Gulshan Abad Sana [regnal year] Julus Maimanat Manus', denoting the Gulshanabad (Nasik) mint and the auspicious accession-year formula standard on Mughal-type rupees. Decorative pellet ornaments are visible in the margins. The calligraphy, though somewhat crudely rendered in the Maratha hammered tradition, retains the essential formulaic elements of the Shah Alam II rupee series.
