| Opis awersu | The entire field is occupied by stylized Arabic-script legends arranged in three horizontal registers, rendered in a highly decorative and conventionalized manner characteristic of VOC Java rupees. Dot ornaments separate the individual inscription elements throughout the field. The date 1799 appears in Western numerals along the lower portion of the coin, below the Arabic script. A fine milled border encircles the entire design. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays stylized Arabic-script inscriptions filling the entire field, arranged in a similarly conventionalized manner to the obverse, with individual letter forms greatly abstracted in the Javanese VOC mint tradition. Pellet ornaments are interspersed among the script elements across the field. The rendering reflects the local engravers' interpretation of Arabic calligraphy rather than precise legibility. A milled border runs around the full circumference of the coin. |
