The overall design follows the Sikh rupee tradition of naturalistic botanical imagery with no royal portrait, in keeping with the aniconographic conventions of the Lahore Darbar coinage. |

Beaded floral elements fill the surrounding field, and the Vikram Samvat regnal date is incorporated within the Persian-script legend running along the upper register of the coin. |
