Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse displays multiple horizontal bands of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy in Arabic script filling the entire field, conveying the royal legend of Dost Muhammad Khan. The inscription is rendered in high relief against a finely granulated background decorated with foliate and floral motifs typical of Barakzai-era coinage. Small pellet clusters are interspersed throughout the field as ornamental elements. The irregular flan edge, characteristic of hammered coinage of this period, is clearly visible. The overall design follows the traditional South Asian rupee format with continuous calligraphic bands dominating the composition.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a central calligraphic composition in Nasta'liq script arranged in an interlaced medallion format, occupying the full field of the coin. The inscription, rendered in bold high-relief strokes, is surrounded by an elaborately engraved background of scrolling foliate arabesques and pellet clusters. A partial border of pellets runs along the coin's periphery. The hammered flan exhibits the characteristic irregular shape and uneven edge associated with hand-struck Afghan rupees of the early Barakzai period. The field is densely decorated, leaving little unadorned surface.
