| Obverse description | Within a central circle, a trident (trishul) is depicted, surrounded by a square frame bearing the royal legend in Devanagari script. At the four corners outside the square are the four sacred Hindu symbols arranged clockwise from the top left: Chakra (wheel), Shankha (conch), Gada (mace), and Padma (lotus). Above the square, a crescent moon flanks the symbol Sri (श्री) inscribed twice, with a sun disc at centre top. The Bikram Sambat regnal year appears below the square at the base of the design. |
