Reverse description Central field displays a vertical khukuri (traditional Nepalese curved knife) flanked symmetrically by two rhododendron branches bearing flowers and foliage, the rhododendron being the national flower of Nepal. Below this central emblem, the denomination 'एक रूपैयाँ' (One Rupee) and the issuing authority 'नेपाल' (Nepal) are inscribed in Devanagari script. The entire central motif is enclosed within a raised lotus-petal border composed of twelve scalloped segments, each containing a Devanagari inscription forming the honorific legend dedicated to Gorakhnaath and Bhawani. The outer rim is defined by a continuous beaded border. The overall design reflects the deeply Hindu-Buddhist artistic tradition of the Nepalese royal coinage.
