Obverse description The obverse bears a multi-line Arabic-script legend arranged in horizontal registers across the entire field, divided by parallel ruled lines in the characteristic Mughal regal style. The central inscription reads the royal titles and name of the Mughal emperor Mohammad Akbar II, identifying him as Sahib Qiran Sani (Lord of the Auspicious Conjunction, the Second) and Badshah Ghazi. The lettering is deeply engraved in a bold Nasta'liq calligraphic hand, with dotted diacritical marks visible throughout. The legend fills the flan to the rim with no empty field, in keeping with the Mughal rupee typology of the period.
