Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse carries the Lion Capital of the Asoka Pillar vignette at center, serving as the state emblem of India, with bilingual inscriptions in Devanagari and English identifying the issuing authority and denomination. The year of issue appears within the design, and a guilloche underprint fills the background field. The signature of the Secretary, Ministry of Finance is printed below the central vignette.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse presents a central vignette of the Sagar Samrat offshore oil drilling rig at sea, rendered in green intaglio against a guilloche underprint. At upper center, bilingual inscriptions in Devanagari and English read GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, with the numeral 1 and Rupee symbol in the upper right corner within a decorative panel. Wheat stalks frame the left and right margins, and the denomination is repeated in Devanagari and English along the lower portion, with multilingual denomination panels on the left side.
