| Obverse description | The national emblem of Sri Lanka occupies the central field, featuring the Sri Lanka Lion passant holding a sword in its right forepaw, set within a circular border of petals. Surmounting the device is a Dhamma Chakra (Wheel of the Law), while the lower register displays a sun and moon flanking a traditional Pūrṇa-kalaśa (pot of plenty), all resting upon a decorative plinth. A stylised wreath of petals encircles the central roundel. The design is rendered in high relief against a plain field, with a beaded border running near the coin's rim. |
