附加信息

Pakistan's independence was declared on 14 August 1947, and the new government faced an immediate practical crisis: no mint, no currency dies, and a population needing coinage within days. This piece is a pattern struck in the frantic weeks following partition, when Pakistani monetary authorities were negotiating with the Royal Mint and evaluating designs before any production coinage could be authorized. It never entered circulation.

The KM#Pn1 designation places it as the first recorded pattern in the Pakistan series — almost certainly struck in London rather than on the subcontinent.
