Descrizione del dritto	Central field features an ornate tughra-style calligraphic device in Arabic script, rendered in high relief within a plain inner circle. The circular legend GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN appears in raised Latin letters around the periphery, separated at the base by a small five-pointed star. The coin is struck with a beaded border running along the outer rim.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Pakistan's independence was declared on 14 August 1947, and the new government faced an immediate practical crisis: no mint, no currency dies, and a population needing coinage within days. This piece is a pattern struck in the frantic weeks following partition, when Pakistani monetary authorities were negotiating with the Royal Mint and evaluating designs before any production coinage could be authorized. It never entered circulation. The KM#Pn1 designation places it as the first recorded pattern in the Pakistan series — almost certainly struck in London rather than on the subcontinent.
