Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic scene of football players at the decisive moment of the 1960 UEFA European Championship final, contested between the USSR and Yugoslavia in Paris, which the Soviets won 2–1; legendary Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin is represented among the figures. To the left of the central scene, the Eiffel Tower is depicted alongside the European Championship trophy, accompanied by the inscription «ПАРИЖ» (PARIS). The upper rim bears the commemorative legend «100-ЛЕТИЕ РОССИЙСКОГО ФУТБОЛА» (100TH ANNIVERSARY OF FOOTBALL IN RUSSIA), while the lower rim carries the inscription «КУБОК ЕВРОПЫ. 1960» (THE EUROPE CUP. 1960). The composition is rendered in high relief with fine engraved detail throughout the figures and architectural elements.
