A five-pointed star surmounts the device. | Additional information |
Part of a long-running Belarusian series documenting Orthodox architectural heritage, this rouble commemorates the Church of the Savior and Transfiguration — one of several surviving examples of wooden ecclesiastical construction in the Polesye region. The National Bank of Belarus issued numerous copper-nickel collector roubles in the early 2000s at low mintage figures, largely targeting the domestic commemorative market rather than international collectors, which has kept secondary market prices modest despite genuine historical subject matter.
