| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse features a central diamond-shaped cartouche set against a finely crosshatched background, within which a detailed engraving of Dortmann's Lobelia (Lobelia dortmanna) is depicted in bloom, with slender stems and pendant flowers rendered in high relief. The national emblem of the Republic of Belarus appears at the top of the field above the cartouche. The legend 'РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ' (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters. To the lower left of the cartouche, the plant's Belarusian name 'Лабелія Дортмана' is inscribed, while the denomination '1 РУБЕЛЬ' and the date '2023' appear in the lower portion of the field. |

Svityaz Lake, the centerpiece of the Svityazyansky Reserve in Grodno Oblast, is the deepest lake in Belarus at roughly 58 meters — a fact that gave rise to regional folklore about submerged towns and drowned populations. The reserve was established in 1970 primarily to protect the lake's unusually clear water and the surrounding mixed forest ecosystem. Belarus has issued commemorative roubles tied to its protected natural areas since the 1990s, a series that now runs to dozens of types.
