| Obverse description | Central arms of Pyatigorsk at left, with the large Cyrillic denomination ОДИН РУБЛЬ across the centre. An ornate scrollwork border frames the note, with a monogram device at upper right. Text columns flanking the central inscription attribute authority to the Pyatigorsk City Head (Пятигорский Городской Голова) at lower left and the Kislovodsk City Head (Кисловодский Городской Голова) at lower right, each position accompanied by a manuscript signature. The heading РАЗМЕННЫЙ ЗНАКЪ appears in a decorative cartouche at the top, and the anti-counterfeiting legend ПОДДЕЛКА ПРЕСЛЕДУЕТСЯ ЗАКОНОМЪ runs along the lower margin. |
