Beschrijving voorzijde Blue intaglio print over a red-brown guilloche underprint on beige paper; a stepped rectangular border frames the principal text legends in formal Cyrillic letterpress, with the denomination and issuing authority rendered in bold relief. The Small Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire is positioned at the left margin, counterbalanced by the Imperial monogram at the right within the bordered panel. The austere, text-centred composition is characteristic of late Imperial Russian State Credit Notes of the Witte monetary reform era.

Opmerkingen

The sheer number of signature combinations on this single denomination — over forty documented pairings across four State Bank directors (Pleske, Timashev, Konshin, and Shipov) — reflects nearly two decades of continuous issue from the same plate design. The cashier's signature changed frequently as personnel turned over, which is why specialist collectors treat each pairing as a discrete variety rather than a simple date variant.

Printed entirely in-house at the Ekspeditsiya in St. Petersburg, the note predates the Goznak name, which came into formal use only after 1919. The watermark runs through the beige paper stock and was the primary anti-counterfeiting measure for the denomination throughout the entire run.
