| 背面描述 | A detailed relief depiction of the Common Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) occupies the central field, rendered in a naturalistic style consistent with the Bird of the Year series. The Belarusian name of the bird, ЗВЫЧАЙНАЯ ЗЯЗЮЛЯ, is inscribed to the left of the central motif, while the series designation ПТУШКА ГОДА appears to the right, both in Cyrillic script. |

Belarus launched an extensive wildlife series through the 2000s and 2010s, issuing copper-nickel roubles at a pace that flooded the collector market and kept secondary prices modest. The Common Cuckoo entry, KM#537, is one of dozens in that run. The cuckoo carries an obvious irony for a coin series built on national pride — it is a brood parasite, raising none of its own young.
