Surrounding the central cartouche, a continuous Arabic legend records the mint name — Dar al-Khilafa, Sana'a, Yemen — and the AH striking date, rendered in large sweeping script that fills the remaining field. The design is enclosed within a dentilated border and reeded rim consistent with the obverse. |
