| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa, veiled and wearing a pearl-ornamented bodice, occupying the central field. The peripheral legend reads M·THERESIA·D·G· R·IMP·HU·BO·REG· in Latin. Mint-master initials S·F· appear in the lower exergue. A circular Arabic countermark, approximately 10 mm in diameter, has been applied to the neck and chest area of the effigy, bearing the Qu'aiti Sultanate inscription الدوله منصر (Dawlat Munassar) and the Hijri year ١٣٠٧, authenticating the coin for circulation within the Sultanate. |

The eagle's breast bears a quartered shield with the arms of Austria and Burgundy. The circumferential Latin legend reads ARCHID·AVST·DUX·BURG·CO·TYR·1780·X, with the date 1780 and the assay mark X incorporated into the legend. The overall composition is bold and heraldic, consistent with the standardized Maria Theresa Thaler design struck in perpetuity after 1780. |
