| Aversbeschreibung | The Omani national emblem occupies the central field, depicting a khanjar dagger in its sheath superimposed upon two crossed swords, all surmounted by a crown. The emblem is rendered in high relief against a smooth field. The legend around the periphery reads ONE RIAL in English and QABOOS BIN SAID - SULTAN OF OMAN, identifying both the denomination and the reigning monarch. |

| Reversbeschreibung | The reverse commemorates the 30th National Day of Oman with a composite design depicting symbols of the nation's modern development. In the foreground, a tractor, fishing boat, and fish represent the agricultural and maritime sectors, while an industrial facility appears in the background. The denomination is prominently displayed in the centre of the field, with the commemorative Arabic legend inscribed below. The overall composition reflects Oman's economic progress under Sultan Qaboos. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
Issued to mark the 30th anniversary of Sultan Qaboos bin Said's accession — the coup against his father Said bin Taimur on 23 July 1970 — this gold piece belongs to a commemorative program that Oman used strategically throughout the 1990s to court foreign collector markets. Qaboos had kept Oman almost entirely closed to outside investment and visitors through much of the 1970s, making the country's numismatic outreach one of the few visible international gestures of the period.
The .916 fineness places it firmly in the 22-karat crown gold tradition.
