The cross is rendered in the distinctive squared style of the period, with the arms extending nearly to the coin's irregular flan edge. A partial circular legend runs around the periphery, partially visible on the preserved portions of the planchet. The strike is characteristically uneven, consistent with the hand-hammered macuquina cob technique employed at the Potosí mint. |
