| Ön yüz açıklaması | Quartered shield bearing the Jerusalem cross of Castile and León, with castles in the upper-left and lower-right quarters and rampant lions in the upper-right and lower-left quarters, struck on an irregularly shaped cob flan typical of macuquina coinage. The date appears partially visible in the lower field. The design is characteristic of the Habsburg-style cross coinage produced at the Lima mint during the reign of Felipe V. |

| Arka yüz açıklaması | The two crowned Pillars of Hercules, representing the Strait of Gibraltar, flank a central cross dividing the field into four sections, with the legend PLVS VLTR(A) — the Spanish royal motto — disposed around the design. The mintmark, assayer initial, and denomination mark appear in the fields between the pillars, consistent with Lima cob coinage of the early 18th century. The flan is irregular in shape and the strike is characteristically off-center, as is typical of hammered macuquina pieces of this period. |

| Ek bilgiler |
Felipe V inherited the Spanish throne in 1700 through the will of the childless Carlos II, triggering the War of the Spanish Succession — a conflict that reshaped European power and left the colonial mints of the Americas operating under genuine uncertainty about legitimate authority. Lima continued striking in his name throughout, though the early cob-style production of this period was notoriously irregular, with planchet quality varying dramatically depending on the assayer and the silver supply coming down from Potosí.
The Lima mint's assayer initial during much of this run was H, for Juan de Dios de Herrera. Pieces from this reign predate the shift to milled coinage ordered in 1728.
