Reverse description The reverse displays the Holy Door (Porta Santa), a central motif associated with the Jubilee Holy Year of 1750 under Pope Benedict XIV, rendered as a tall arched doorway with radiating rays emanating from a triangular base in the lower field, flanked by two decorative columns with scrolled capitals. To the left of the central device the Roman numeral date legend reads 'CIↃ·IↃ·C·C·L·' (equating to MDCCL, i.e. 1750), and 'C·C·L·' appears to the right, together denoting the jubilee year. The entire design is contained within a milled or corded border. The composition is characteristic of the provincial Papal mint style of the mid-18th century.
