The joint invocation of Bartholomew II and his nephew Anthony mirrors the uneasy co-rulership that Gian Galeazzo exploited — he had Bartholomew arrested and executed before the year was out.

Biaggi 2980 is among the scarcer Scaligeri minor denominations, surviving primarily in well-worn condition given the billon's low silver content and the political disruption that ended production abruptly.
