| 背面描述 | Central field carries a two-line nastaliq legend reading 'Zarb Balda-yi Nahavand' (struck in the city of Nahavand) above the AH mint date, all rendered in bold calligraphic script. The date numerals appear in the lower portion of the inner cartouche. The field background is richly ornamented with intertwining floral scrollwork and clustered rosettes in the Qajar decorative tradition. The whole design is enclosed within a plain inner oval border and a raised bead-and-dot outer rim. |

Nahāvand's inclusion as an active mint under Fatḥ Alī Shāh reflects the administrative decentralization of Qājār coinage — provincial mints operated with considerable autonomy, and output quality varied sharply between them. The Type E classification within the Qājār qiran series marks a specific phase of Fatḥ Alī's extraordinarily long reign, which stretched from 1797 to 1834 and encompassed two disastrous wars with Russia, ending in the Treaty of Turkmenchay in 1828. That treaty, signed mid-way through this coin's production window, ceded significant Caucasian territories and forced a heavy indemnity that strained the Iranian treasury for years.
