| Reverse description | Central field carries a two-line nastaliq legend reading 'Zarb Balda-yi Nahavand' (struck in the city of Nahavand) above the AH mint date, all rendered in bold calligraphic script. The date numerals appear in the lower portion of the inner cartouche. The field background is richly ornamented with intertwining floral scrollwork and clustered rosettes in the Qajar decorative tradition. The whole design is enclosed within a plain inner oval border and a raised bead-and-dot outer rim. |
