Obverse description Crude hammered field bearing the two-line Arabic legend 'wali ni'mati' (ولي نعمتي), meaning 'benefactor' or 'patron', rendered in a characteristic Central Asian Naskh hand within a plain border. The inscription is divided by a horizontal rule separating the upper and lower portions of the legend, with ornamental pellets flanking the lower register. The flan is irregular in shape and the strike is typical of the rough provincial coinage of the Khoqand Khanate, with flat and weakly struck areas consistent with hand-hammered production.
