Description de l’avers	Brown on orange and yellow underprint, with a panoramic intaglio vignette of Windhoek occupying the centre of the note, showing the Christ Church and surrounding colonial townscape against a mountain backdrop. The bank title in both Afrikaans and English appears in bold letterpress across the top, flanked by large numeral '1' counters at each corner, with an ornate guilloche-framed oval for the serial number at upper right. The denomination in three languages — Afrikaans, English, and German — is displayed in a solid panel at lower centre, with two manuscript signatures above the imprint of Waterlow & Sons Limited, London.

Description du revers	Brown on a light blue-grey guilloche underprint, centred on an ornate oval vignette enclosing the bank's seal: a single-furrow plough with sheaves, inscribed ARBEIDSAAMHEID (industry/diligence), set within elaborate lathe-work scrollwork. A decorative numeral '1' counter appears to the right of the central vignette, and the denomination is stated in Afrikaans, English, and German on a scroll banner at lower centre, all enclosed within a scalloped guilloche border with numeral '1' medallions at each corner. The printer's imprint of Waterlow & Sons Limited, London appears at the foot.
