| Obverse description | Central device features the Eagle of Saladin displayed with wings spread, grasping a shield charged with two five-pointed stars arranged vertically on a plain field, flanked by olive branches and surmounted by a scroll bearing an Arabic inscription. The eagle stands above a ribbon cartouche with additional Arabic lettering. The dual date in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals, ١٤١٤ - ١٩٩٤ (AH 1414 / AD 1994), appears in the lower field. The entire design is contained within a recessed field bordered by a dentilated rim. |
