| 备注 |
Jersey's "Old Bank" — formally Clement Hemery & Co. — was one of the earliest private note-issuing firms on the island, operating before any chartered banking infrastructure existed in the Channel Islands. The printer, Lake of Tokenhouse Yard, was a London trade engraver and stationer serving small private and commercial clients; Tokenhouse Yard itself was a well-known address for such trade work, situated just off Lothbury near the Bank of England.
Private pound notes from Jersey's pre-regulatory period are extremely rare survivors. Most were redeemed quickly or destroyed when the issuing firms closed or were absorbed.
