The bank title ISLE OF MAN BANK LIMITED appears in bold letterpress across the upper portion, flanked by Celtic knotwork ornaments, with the denomination ONE POUND in large gothic script at centre and the place and date of issue below. Two circular cartouches frame the note laterally — one bearing a sailing ship vignette on the left and the three-legged triskelion arms of Man on the right — while serial number, promise-to-pay clause, and two manuscript signatures with printed titles ASS'T MANAGER and MANAGER appear in the lower register. |
