| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the Douglas harbour panorama with ships at anchor, rendered in fine intaglio engraving against a green and purple guilloche underprint. The bank title ISLE OF MAN BANK LIMITED appears in bold letterpress across the upper portion, flanked by Celtic knotwork ornaments, with the denomination ONE POUND in large gothic script at centre and the place and date of issue below.
