| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II after the third definitive portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a draped neckline. The royal effigy is rendered in high relief with fine medallic detail characteristic of piedfort coinage. The encircling legend reads ELIZABETH II D·G·REG·F·D·1994, with the engraver's initials RDM appearing below the truncation of the bust. |

Piedforts have been issued by the Royal Mint as collector pieces since their revival in 1982, produced at exactly double the standard flan thickness. The Scottish pound in this four-coin rotation — England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland — completed its second full cycle in 1994, the Lion Rampant design having first appeared on the circulating £1 in 1984.
Mintage for piedfort issues of this period was typically capped in the low thousands, making survival in original presentation packaging the norm rather than the exception.
