| Opis rewersu | The reverse, designed by Stuart Devlin, presents a complex heraldic composition centred on the arms of Belfast, divided into two quarters: the upper dexter quarter displays a bell above a chequered field, while the lower sinister quarter features a full-rigged sailing ship under full sail. Surrounding the central shield are three smaller roundels depicting the Edinburgh Castle, the cross of St George, and a dragon, referencing the other capitals of the United Kingdom. The denomination ONE POUND arcs along the left and right periphery, with BELFAST inscribed across the upper field within a raised border, all executed in high relief befitting a piedfort striking. |
