| 正面描述 | Fifth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing bust wearing the George IV State Diadem, with a pearl drop earring visible. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the crown's floral and foliate ornamentation. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II DEI GRA REG FID DEF with the date 2016, separated by raised dots. The engraver's initials J.C. appear below the truncation of the bust. This portrait, introduced in 2015, was the first to be designed by a Royal Mint staff engraver in over a century. |
