| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in red-brown on a light ground, centred on an elaborate symmetrical guilloche design composed of interlocking lathe-work panels and ornamental scrollwork. A rectangular cartouche at the centre bears the inscription GOVERNMENT OF FIJI in bold serif lettering. A large blank oval medallion is positioned at the right, balanced by a smaller oval at the left, both surrounded by fine engine-turned patterns. |

| 备注 |
Fiji's currency administration in this period sat with the Colonial Treasury rather than a separate central bank — the island group wouldn't establish the Fiji Currency Board until 1914, and this note falls under the direct government issue arrangements that followed. Bradbury Wilkinson held the printing contract for most British Pacific territories through the interwar decades, with security printing quality well above what colonial volumes alone would have justified commercially.
The three-signatory format — two treasury officials plus a colonial secretary or equivalent — was a deliberate accountability mechanism. The signature change to Robertson, Hayward, and Ackland on the July 1940 date reflects wartime administrative turnover in Suva as the Pacific grew increasingly unstable.
