正面描述	The obverse carries the heading 'RHODESIAN ISSUE.' at top, with the bank title 'THE NATIONAL BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED' in bold lettering across the upper register. A seated female allegorical figure appears in a vignette to the left, resting beside barrels and trade goods against a waterfall landscape, rendered in fine intaglio line engraving. The central panel bears the promise-to-pay text, the denomination tablet 'ONE POUND' within a guilloche frame, serial prefix 'N° B' at Salisbury, the date '1st July, 1922.', and a red diagonal 'SPECIMEN' overprint; the note is signed 'By Order of the Board of Directors' with the Acct. Manager's signature at lower right.
