| Descrizione del dritto | Central field occupied by the elaborate quartered royal arms of Christian IV of Denmark, comprising nine compartments displaying the heraldic devices of Denmark, Norway, the Vends, the Goths, Holstein, Stormarn, Dithmarschen, Oldenburg, and Delmenhorst, all within an ornate cartouche or shield. The shield is surrounded by a beaded inner border. The circumferential Latin legend reads CHRISTIANUS IIII D G DANI NO V G REX, identifying the king by name and his titles as King of Denmark, Norway, the Vends, and the Goths. The coin is struck with characteristic early seventeenth-century hammered technique, with a milled or rope-edged outer rim. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device consists of a large, elaborately rendered royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and cross finials, occupying the majority of the inner field and enclosed within a beaded border. The mint master's initials R and F flank the crown at the sides, with the privy letter P appearing above. The date 1624 is divided below the crown in four numerals separated by pellets. A small trefoil or cross mintmark appears at the very base of the inner field. The circumferential Latin legend BENEDICTIO DOMINI DIVITES FACIT, a Biblical motto from Proverbs 10:22 meaning 'The blessing of the Lord maketh rich,' runs around the outer border. |
