| Reverse description | Elaborate architectural scene depicting the ceremonial opening of the Holy Door of Saint Peter's Basilica for the Jubilee Year of 1675. The composition shows a grand classical portico with arched central doorway flanked by columns, through which rays of light radiate outward; numerous figures including papal guards, dignitaries, and kneeling pilgrims are arranged in the foreground on both sides. The legend DILIGIT DNVS PORTAS SION is inscribed across the upper architrave of the portico. The papal arms of Clement X appear in the lower field, flanked by the split Roman date MDCL·XXV. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |
